Some providers offer multi currency accounts which were not considered in the comparison. We assumed account based currency is EUR. The comparison is shown for illustrative purposes only. - Total cost considers execution commission and FX conversion costs charged by the providers. In the case of IBKR, and some other providers where readily disclosed, we have additionally included regulatory, clearing and exchange fees that are passed through to the client on a transactional basis.
- For comparison purposes, we have converted "Advertised Rates" to EUR. The USD/EUR FX rate we used in the comparison table is 0.93519.
- IBKR, tiered stock commissions of USD 0.0035 per share + exchange, regulatory and clearing fees. IBKR FX commissions are 0.002%, with a minimum of USD 2.00 Full rate card is available by visiting IBKR Commissions.
- Fineco variable commissions schedule used. Assumed no FX conversion due to multicurrency accounts.
- Rate of InvestoPro GO platform is €9.90
- Saxo's VIP account type used. Minimum US stock commission is USD 1.00 per order for all account tiers.
- Degiro fees effective January 1, 2024, per fee schedule on Degiro IE website. €1.00 per trade transaction fee + €1.00 per trade handling fee. Assumed that the trade is placed via Auto FX Trader.
- Swissquote rates are 0.10% of trade value with a minimum of €14.95 per order. Currency conversion fee between USD, CHF, and EUR is 0.90% of trade value. However, considering default multi-currency account, we assumed zero FX rate.
- Flatex €5.90 commission for USA/Canadian orders. Flatex adds a charge of 0.40% on the exchange rate for buying and selling USD stock from a main EUR account.
- ING Diba's commission is a basic fee of €4.90 + 0.25% of the order market value. The basic fee is charged once per order - a maximum of €69.90. FX conversion fee is 0.25%. ING Diba charges a €14.90 fee for trades on foreign trading venues (exchanges).

Interactive Brokers offers low, simple stock pricing on the most active European exchanges. We are simplifying our pricing so you know the cost before you invest. Commissions on Western European stocks is just €3/£3 per trade for typical trade sizes. For larger trades (those over €6000/£6000) the cost is .05% of trade value.
Commissions range from USD 0.0005 to USD 0.0035 per share on US stocks and include the IB SmartRoutingSM system. IB SmartRoutingSM helps support best execution by searching for the best available prices for stocks, options and combinations across exchanges and dark pools. Also, it continuously evaluates changing market conditions and dynamically re-routes all or parts of your order.
